Xara is a Guernsey/Welsh writer for TV and film. She currently has projects in development with Lime Pictures, Maia Pictures and Grey Seal Media.
Xara’s first script, Paid a sitcom (co-written with Natalie Malla) was optioned by The Comedy Unit, and together they were selected for Channel Four’s screenwriting programme where they developed Wildside, an original comedy drama. Their sitcom How To Be Normal was shortlisted for the Funny Women Comedy Writing Award, and Xara has also optioned a sketch to the comedy show The Elegant Gentleman’s Guide to Knife Fighting for ABC1 in Australia.
Xara has a Masters in Creative Writing, has written several television commercials, and has covered many production roles across film and television.
