More Information

Morgan Bailey is a Writer, born and raised in Manchester, UK.

Most recently Morgan has been awarded a first look deal with VIACOM CBS, where he will be developing a range of ideas for TV over the next  two years.

Morgan’s writing career really gained traction in 2016 at ‘Commonword’ a literary organisation based in Manchester. There he wrote a flash fiction piece that was published in an anthology. That very piece served as an instrument for him being accepted onto the, ‘Creating The Bible’ short course at the National Film And Television School (NFTS) in 2017. There he completed a pilot, which culminated in him being accepted onto the BBC Writers room and acquiring his first writing credit for BBC 1 Xtra that same year.

In early 2018 Morgan directed his first short film, RUMET, while on the NFTS’s ‘Diverse Directors course’, it was premièred at Channel 4 HQ and entered into a host of festivals.

In 2019 Morgan was invited onto a BAME writers group for the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester.

Morgan is currently taking part in the BBC Children’s – New Voices Scheme, and his short film titled CUFFED, is currently in development, funded by the BFI/ Film Hub North.
