Jess O’Kane
Jess O’Kane is a writer for film & TV, represented jointly by SALT Partnership in the UK and by CAA in the US. Her short film The Devil’s Harmony, written with director Dylan Holmes Williams, has been selected for numerous BAFTA/Academy Award qualifying festivals including Sundance, Sitges, Encounters and AFI Fest. It was a BIFA 2019 nominee for Best British Short Film, the Jury Prize winner at British Shorts Festival, a Critic’s Circle nominee, and the winner of Best UK Short at Raindance. Dylan and Jess are developing the feature version of The Devil’s Harmony, and a second feature project.
More Information
For TV, Jess was most recently commissioned by Little Door Productions (Elwen Rowlands: producer of BAFTA-nominated The Last Post), to write a 4-part UK true-crime series. She is also developing an original YA horror series with Moon River Content.
She is a participant in the 2019-2020 BBC TV Drama Writers Programme and spent 2019 working with BAFTA winners The Forge on her original psychological drama pilot Living With Strangers. In 2019, she was also commissioned by multiple award-winning RED Productions on an original thriller, Sundown.
